Taylor Hopkinson is seeking for a SME in tranformers for a Director of Uitlity Sales for an International manufacturer in power equipment solutions, specializing in mid to large transformers, switchgear, and complete substation systems. Serving renewable energy, utility, and data centers sectors, the organization is committed to innovation and delivering high-value technical solutions to its clients.
The ideal candidate will focus on defining and executing sales strategies, expanding market presence in the renewable utility and data center space, and managing critical customer relationships in the utility-scale transformer, switchgear, and substation sectors. This is a senior individual contributor role with no direct reports, ideal for a highly experienced sales professional looking to lead at a strategic level.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute U.S. sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.

Identify and pursue new customer accounts, partnerships, and channel opportunities across utilities, developers, EPCs, and Data Centers.

Manage and strengthen relationships with existing strategic accounts, ensuring satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business.

Provide market insights, competitor analysis, and sales forecasting to guide decision-making.

Collaborate with product, engineering, and project teams to deliver technically and commercially optimized solutions.

Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.

Serve as a senior strategic advisor for key commercial initiatives, supporting the broader sales organization.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).

7+ years of experience in sales of power equipment, transformers, switchgear, or substation solutions.

Proven success in utility-scale market sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.

Strong technical understanding of power systems, renewable energy and data center infrastructure.
