Taylor Hopkinson is seeking a Sr. Sales Manager / Director of Sales for the utility scale space for a global Tier 1 PV Module manufacturer and one of the largest solar wafer, cell, and module makers in the world. Its main U.S. presence is a joint venture with a U.S. developer that set out to build a 5 GW module factory.
The Senior Sales Manager / Director of Sales will join the Utilities team of a global leader in solar technology. The company is firmly committed to monocrystalline technology and expects its widespread adoption to drive significant technological advances across the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day communication with accounts nationwide
- Acquire new customers and drive business growth
- Leverage a strong network across distribution, key accounts, or utility clients in the solar industry
- Coordinate with the fulfillment team to ensure on-time delivery
- Hold regular in-person meetings with customers, weekly or biweekly
- Engage downstream customers through distribution partners to expand business relationships
- Take part in co-marketing events to strengthen the company brand and build relationships
- Provide regional forecasts covering build plans and shipment destinations
- Produce reports against defined metrics in line with KPIs
Requirements:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, power, or a related field
- 7+ years in a similar business development or sales role within the solar industry
- MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE SELLING SOLAR MODULES IN THE UTILITY SCALE SPACE
- Deep understanding of U.S. PV market dynamics and industry trends
- Extensive experience in tender preparation, contract review and negotiation, account management, and deal closure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in account management and development
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle conflict and ambiguity
- Well organized, with proficiency in Microsoft 365. Program management experience is a plus.
- Candidate could be remote anywhere in the US and must be open to travel up to 50%
