Electrical Design Engineer for a major offshore wind project in The Netherlands
Key Responsibilities
The consultant will support projects at various phases by conducting studies. Scope includes:
* Create and validate EMT and RMS models for relevant assets (e.g., WTG, PPC, STATCOM, as applicable).
* Plan and execute design and Grid Code compliance studies, small disturbances and fault scenarios.
* Draft clear, audit-ready technical documentation for internal review and external compliance; contribute to grid-connection workstreams.
* Interface with OEMs on model provisioning, validation, and parameterization.
* Summarize findings, recommend mitigations, and ensure quality in line with Ørsted standards across multiple projects.
Requirements
* Degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering (BEng/MSc/PhD) or equivalent.
* At least 5 years’ hands-on experience with PSCAD for EMT studies, including applicable add-ons and analysis modules, plus required experience with DIgSILENT PowerFactory covering steady-state and RMS analyses.
* Experience working with vendor models and parameterization for compliance.
* Scripting/automation skills for workflows and post-processing.
* Experience coordinating with OEMs for model delivery, validation, and updates. strong data confidentiality practices
