Position Overview
We are seeking a Field Application Engineer / After-Sales Engineer to support the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and technical support of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), including Power Conversion Systems (PCS) and Lithium Battery Systems, across Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Utility-scale projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of BESS, PCS, and Lithium Battery Systems.
- Conduct system testing, diagnostics, performance verification, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Support project execution, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
- Provide remote and on-site technical support, including advanced troubleshooting and fault analysis.
- Act as the technical escalation point for complex service issues.
- Serve as the main technical contact during field activities, providing clear guidance on system operation and maintenance.
- Prepare commissioning reports, service records, inspection checklists, and technical documentation.
- Deliver technical training sessions for internal teams, service partners, and end users.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of installation procedures, maintenance guidelines, troubleshooting documentation, and training materials.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and promote safe working practices during all field activities.
- Travel regularly to project sites and provide on-call support when required.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in field service, commissioning, or maintenance of BESS, PCS, RESS, or comparable energy storage technologies.
- Good understanding of Battery Energy Storage Systems, Power Conversion Systems, Lithium Battery technologies, and grid integration principles.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, control schematics, and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with SCADA systems, Energy Management Systems (EMS), and remote monitoring platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver technical training and support.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, field-based environment.
- Willingness to travel frequently and work on-site at industrial and utility-scale installations.
- Availability for occasional on-call support during critical project phases.
