About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Finance Director to take full end-to-end ownership of all financial matters at the project level of a multi-billion-dollar renewable energy infrastructure project. You will drive financial strategy, ensure rigorous financial transparency, and help maximise long-term value creation. Reporting directly into executive leadership, you will be a key member of the senior management team and represent finance in Steering Committee meetings with internal and external investors.
In this role, you will also build and lead a dedicated project finance team of 3-4 professionals as the project scales, providing both strategic direction and hands-on financial oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Own all financial aspects of the project lifecycle, from development through to construction and operations
- Ensure accurate reporting, forecasting, and budgeting to drive financial clarity and investor confidence
- Lead financial analysis, modelling, and risk assessment to support investment decisions
- Represent finance at Steering Committee meetings with internal and external investors and stakeholders
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance team
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and contractual obligations
- Collaborate closely with commercial, technical, and legal teams to align financial strategy with project delivery
Qualifications
- Minimum 12 years’ experience in Finance/Accounting/CAPEX planning/Tax planning
- Experience from working with major infrastructure projects, tier 1 accounting firm or infrastructure fund required
- Degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA or CPA certificate a plus
- You have a financial background with natural flair for structure and coordination
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English and ability to turn complex issues into simple and understandable solutions
- Experience with managing complex stakeholder environments and interacting/communicating with senior management
