Foundation Engineer for a major Offshore Wind Project based in The United Kingdom
Responsibilities
- Act as civil engineering responsible for MP-TP and TP-Tower interfaces, ensuring compliance with structural design intent and installation constraints.
- Review and coordinate flange designs, grout concepts, tolerances, and alignment requirements affecting tower installation.
- Ensure tower load paths are correctly reflected in civil and structural assumptions at the foundation interface.
- Develop and review local scour protection solutions in the immediate vicinity of the monopile/TP, focusing on settlement, erosion, and long term stability.
- Coordinate scour assumptions with geotechnical and structural engineers to ensure consistency with tower loads and fatigue requirements.
- Review contractor documentation related to scour protection installation impacting the tower foundation zone.
- Specify and review corrosion protection systems for civil/structural steelwork at the tower interface, including:
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (structural / marine / offshore specialisation preferred).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in offshore wind or offshore energy projects in a civil or foundation engineering role.
- Proven experience with TP design, MP-TP and TP-Tower interfaces, and associated civil design challenges.
