- Serve as a primary technical and commercial point of contact for distributor partners, EPCs, and utility customers throughout the sales cycle
- Provide hands-on support to outside sales on technical submittals, customer presentations, and complex order documentation
- Coordinate directly with manufacturing and supply chain leadership to confirm lead times, production scheduling, and delivery commitments on high-value orders
- Manage order entry, change orders, and contract documentation with a high degree of accuracy on complex, multi-unit transformer orders
- Proactively monitor backlog and lead customer communication on project status, delays, and escalations
- Develop and refine pricing tools, proposal templates, and sales playbooks used across the team
- Mentor junior specialists on quoting processes, CRM best practices, and customer communication standards
- Track market trends, competitor lead times, and pricing intelligence to inform commercial strategy
- Own compliance documentation requirements (NERC, FERC, utility specifications, DOE efficiency standards) for assigned accounts
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in inside sales, sales operations, or order/project coordination within electrical equipment, power distribution, or industrial manufacturing
- Strong working knowledge of MV/HV transformers, switchgear, or related utility-grade equipment required
- Skilled at reading and interpreting single-line diagrams and detailed equipment specifications
- Advanced proficiency in CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) and ERP systems
- Proven track record managing complex, high-value accounts and customer relationships independently
- Excellent communication skills with experience interfacing directly with engineers, procurement teams, and utility customers
- Highly detail-oriented with strong project management skills and the ability to operate with minimal oversight
