One of the World’s Largest Transformer Producer is seeking Key Account Manager to lead business development and market expansion across Chezh & Slovakia. This role is designed for a senior, entrepreneurial commercial leader who can establish and grow the company’s presence with transmission and distribution operators, utilities, EPCs, and key industrial customers in assigned markets. This is a startup-style role within the region, requiring strong business development and account management capability and the ability to operate independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business development and market expansion across the for high-voltage transformers and HV electrical equipment.
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, TSOs/DSOs, EPCs, and key industrial customers.
- Support vendor qualification and approval processes for HV transformers and related HV equipment, including GIS, switchgear, capacitors, and HVDC solutions.
- Identify, pursue, and manage utility-scale, grid-infrastructure, and EPC tenders in coordination with headquarters and regional stakeholders.
- Drive opportunities from early market engagement through bid submission, contract award, and handover to execution and project teams.
- Act as the primary commercial interface between customers and corporate engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams.
- Provide market intelligence, competitor analysis, and customer feedback to support pricing, product positioning, and long-term market strategy.
- Establish and scale the commercial presence, including building engineering, project management, and after-sales capabilities over time.
- Support the setup and growth of an office and local organizational structure as the business expands.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline; MBA preferred.
- Proven business development experience.
- Proven experience in the local energy and/or electrical infrastructure sector.
- Experience with high-voltage transformers strongly preferred.
- Proven exposure to utilities, grid operators, and participation in utility-scale or transmission-level tenders.
- Fluency in English required.
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills with experience managing long sales cycles.
- Ability to operate independently in a startup-style french market environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build customer relationships and grow new regional markets.
- Willingness to travel extensively within these regions.
