Taylor Hopkinson is partnering with a well-established international renewable energy developer to identify a Land Acquisition Specialist for its growing Italian business.
As Land Acquisition Specialist, you will play a key role in identifying, evaluating and securing land suitable for the development of renewable energy projects throughout Italy. You will be responsible for managing the entire land acquisition process, from site identification and landowner engagement through to contract negotiation, working closely with technical, legal and development teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and assess potential sites for renewable energy developments, considering technical, commercial and permitting requirements.
- Build and maintain relationships with landowners and other local stakeholders.
- Lead negotiations for land lease, purchase and easement agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Coordinate with internal legal and development teams during contract preparation and execution.
- Perform land due diligence, including ownership verification, title review and cadastral analysis.
- Collect and maintain accurate documentation related to land agreements, payments and contractual deadlines.
- Support the evaluation of project feasibility by analysing land characteristics, permitting constraints and regulatory frameworks.
- Monitor market activity and land acquisition trends to identify strategic opportunities.
- Travel regularly to project locations for site inspections and meetings with stakeholders.
Requirements:
- University degree in Law, Architecture, Agricultural Sciences, Geography or another relevant discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in land acquisition, real estate, infrastructure or renewable energy development.
- Demonstrated experience securing land for renewable energy projects within the Italian market.
- Good understanding of Italian cadastral systems, property documentation and land ownership processes.
- Familiarity with GIS tools, Google Earth and renewable energy permitting procedures in Italy.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills.
- Native-level Italian and professional working proficiency in English.
- Availability for regular business travel across Italy.
- Valid driving licence.
