Lead Offshore Cables Installation Specialist for a major offshore wind project in Ireland
Responsibilities
- Review of contractor cable system designs and installation methodologies with respect to the Employer’s Requirements.
- Co-ordination of all aspects of the tendering phase including but not limited to managing and responding to clarifications from the project and contractors, technical and commercial evaluation.
- Work with other package teams and ensure cross package interfacing, cables inputs and outputs are managed efficiently.
- Preparation of technical documentation and specifications for internal or contractor’s use.
- Participation in meetings with contractor’s representatives at all stages of the concept refinement and FEED phases of the project to ensure compliance with
Essential
- Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience;
- Experience with cable installation and testing;
- Experience in technical and commercial evaluation of submarine cable systems.
- Experienced in contract preparation and evaluation for vessels and subsea operations.
- Experience in subsea cable laying and burial campaigns, cable embedment, submersible vehicle operations, vessel positioning and commercial diving procedures.
- Submarine cable design, and development of specifications and employers’ requirements;
- Proficient in SHEQ standards for terrestrial and offshore projects, including familiarity with CDMC/ IMO/ IMCA requirements/ recommendations.
- Experience in managing and delivering complex projects;
- Experience in negotiating agreements and contracts of significant value
