Product & Solutions Manager: Utility Scale PV & BESS

A leading, globally recognised Tier 1 solar manufacturer is seeking a Product & Solutions Manager to support its utility-scale business across the UK and Ireland.

This is a high-impact, customer-facing role combining technical expertise, commercial awareness, and strategic input into product and solution development. The position is fully remote, with regular engagement across key markets and stakeholders.

The Role

This position sits at the intersection of pre-sales, engineering, and commercial strategy. You will work closely with IPPs, developers, and investors to deliver bankable, technically optimised solutions for utility-scale solar and hybrid projects.

The role involves:

  • Leading technical pre-sales activities across utility-scale PV projects
  • Supporting project feasibility assessments, including system design and performance optimisation
  • Delivering LCOE and ROI analyses from a technical perspective to senior stakeholders
  • Engaging directly with IPPs, developers, and investors to position solutions effectively
  • Providing technical input into contract negotiations and commercial discussions
  • Supporting product strategy by feeding back market requirements and project insights
  • Representing the business at industry events, conferences, and client meetings

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and present bankable PV solutions tailored to utility-scale projects
  • Act as a technical advisor throughout the sales cycle
  • Collaborate with internal R&D and product teams on product definition and improvement
  • Support complex tenders and bid processes with strong technical and commercial input
  • Contribute to the expansion of hybrid solutions, including BESS integration
  • Maintain strong awareness of market trends, grid requirements, and project economics

Candidate Profile

  • Strong technical background in solar PV (engineering, product, or solutions-focused roles)
  • Experience working on utility-scale projects with developers, IPPs, or investors
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of project economics, including LCOE and ROI drivers
  • Commercially aware with experience supporting negotiations and deal structuring
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Additional Information

  • Fully remote role with a focus on the UK and Ireland markets
  • Regular travel to London or Dublin for client engagement
  • Annual travel to Asia to collaborate with R&D teams on product development
