Position Title: Project Development Administrator (6-Month Contract)
Location: Tokyo Office (Hybrid)
Our client is seeking a Project Development Administrator for a 6-month contract to support the Tokyo team.
In this role, you will streamline operational, financial, and administrative workflows for utility-scale renewable energy projects across their entire lifecycle; from initial development to post-construction handoff.
Key Responsibilities

Financial & Budget Management: Maintain project budgets in internal tools, track variances, manage fund requests/payment schedules, and interface with Treasury.

Permitting & Documentation: Support the Business Development team with onshore renewables permitting, manage documentation for public agency filings, and oversee file organization for due diligence.

Vendor & Procurement Coordination: Manage vendor contracts, assist in procuring equipment and supplies, and help negotiate terms with external consultants.

Reporting & Governance: Assist in preparing project status reports for leadership and compiling committee decks for executive approvals.

Office & Process Coordination: Lead Community Management initiatives for the Tokyo Office and suggest continuous improvements for project tracking standards.
What We Are Looking For

Experience in project administration, operations, or coordination (preferably in renewable energy, infrastructure, or construction).

Strong organization skills with a detail-oriented approach to budget tracking and document control.

Fluency in English and Japanese to liaise with local authorities, partners, and internal business functions.

Proactive mindset with strong communication skills across cross-functional teams (Permitting, Land, Finance, M&A, and Engineering).
