Project Development Manager – Romania

Opportunity to join a global leading renewable energy company in Romania as Project Development Manager

 

Location: Bucharest (office-based, with flexibility to work 1-2 days from home)

 

Role:

  • Identify prospective projects with suitable resource (Solar, BESS and Wind), electric transmission access, and site characteristics
  • Create and manage project development budgets and estimates
  • Establish and manage relationships with stakeholders, including elected officials, regulators, utilities
  • Negotiation and manage of Developer’s Contracts
  • Work with internal resources, such as the Legal, Engineering, Project Finance and EPC teams
  • Obtain land surface rights to design, permit, construct, operate, and maintain solar power projects
  • Manage state, federal, and regional permitting of solar facilities
  • Participate in interconnection agreement negotiations
  • Manage environmental studies
  • Oversee the preparation of proposals that are submitted to utilities
  • Support the financial analysis and modeling of the project
  • Provide reports to management by producing regular and frequent pipeline updates, project status updates, and other reporting documents
  • Research energy market and competition on an ongoing basis
  • Communicate information continuously and effectively to cross-functional team

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Laws, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Strong project development experience in the green energy industry.
  • Team player with effective communication skills.
  • Pro-active, hands-on and driven.
  • Previous experience in a multi-cultural environment preferred.
  • English fluency required. Native in Romanian
  • Willing and able to travel
