Project Manager Development

The Project Developer supports the development of renewable energy projects-including solar, wind, and energy storage-from early-stage origination through to ready-to-build status. This role involves managing key development activities such as site identification, permitting, stakeholder coordination, and financial evaluation, working closely with both internal teams and external partners.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, assess, and progress new renewable energy project opportunities in line with strategic objectives.

  • Lead and coordinate permitting activities, including environmental studies and grid connection applications.

  • Secure land rights and agreements, maintaining effective relationships with landowners and local stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with internal departments such as engineering, legal, and finance, as well as external advisors and consultants.

  • Develop and monitor project timelines, budgets, and risk assessments throughout the development phase.

  • Prepare investment analyses, project documentation, and materials to support internal approval processes.

  • Track regulatory and market developments to ensure ongoing compliance of projects.

  • Represent the organization in meetings with public authorities, partners, clients, and other stakeholders.


Requirements

  • University degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

  • Previous experience in a similar project development role within the energy sector.

  • Solid understanding of renewable energy markets and utility-scale project development.

  • Demonstrated experience with permitting processes, grid connections, and land acquisition.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams with a high level of responsibility and autonomy.

  • Proactive, collaborative, and capable of working effectively in cross-functional teams.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Willingness to travel as required.

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
