Taylor Hopkinson is seeking for Sales Director with experience with Distribution Transformers with a global leader in power equipment with operations across more than 70 countries is focused on enabling the transition to low-carbon and sustainable energy. The organization delivers a broad portfolio of solutions including transformers, switchgear, and integrated prefabricated or all-in-one systems designed for utilities, industrial customers, and renewable energy projects. With a strong emphasis on innovation, reliability, and grid modernization, the company supports large-scale infrastructure development and the growing demand for resilient, efficient power systems.
The Sales Director role for North America is a full-time position responsible for driving regional growth and executing strategic sales initiatives. This individual will lead go-to-market efforts, develop key relationships, and oversee the full sales lifecycle across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to drive revenue growth across North America
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within utilities, EPCs, developers, and industrial customers
- Build, manage, and expand relationships with key accounts and strategic partners
- Lead the full sales cycle, including prospecting, pre-sales, proposal development, negotiation, and closing
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategy and positioning
- Oversee pre-sales and project coordination activities to ensure alignment with customer requirements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and project management teams to support successful project delivery
- Monitor sales performance, pipeline health, and forecasting to meet or exceed targets
- Represent the company at industry events, client meetings, and site visits as needed
Qualifications
- Strong technical background in transformers, switchgear, or the broader power industry
- Proven experience in sales and project management within energy, power transmission, or renewable sectors
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
- Willingness to travel as needed to support customers and regional operations
- Experience working with utilities, EPCs, or developers is highly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (MBA is a plus)
