A well-backed international Independent Power Producer (IPP) is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager based in Germany to lead the delivery of large-scale renewable energy projects across Europe.
This is an owner-side role with significant autonomy, offering the opportunity to take a key position in the construction phase of major renewable assets within a fast-growing, international platform at the forefront of the energy transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the construction phase of utility-scale renewable energy projects, from Notice to Proceed through commissioning and handover
- Act as the Owner/Developer representative, overseeing EPC contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders
- Take responsibility for schedule, budget, quality, HSE, and risk management throughout the construction lifecycle
- Coordinate multiple interfaces in parallel, including internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and local authorities
- Monitor project progress, identify risks early, and implement proactive mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, technical specifications, and local regulations
- Provide regular reporting on project status, milestones, and key issues to senior management
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 7+ years’ experience in construction project management (10+ years advantageous)
- Degree in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Proven track record delivering complex, large-scale construction projects
- Experience managing EPC contractors and construction-phase stakeholders
- Ability to operate independently in a dynamic, less-structured environment
Preferred Background
- Experience in renewable energy projects (solar, wind, battery storage, or similar)
- Exposure to large-scale, multi-disciplinary infrastructure or energy projects
- Experience working on the developer / IPP / owner’s side is a strong advantage
