Senior HVDC Engineer required for a major Offshore Wind Farm Developer based in France.
Responsibilities
- Analyse and review the detailed design documents provided by the EPCI Contractor on the whole scope of the Converter Station.
- Review C&P inspection test plans, test reports, HMI, etc.
- Participate in technical meetings with the HVDC converter manufacturers and in internal project and technical meetings.
- Define and/or perform techno-economic studies to advise on technical arbitration.
- Perform internal technical or economic studies to assess technical solutions.
- Support general tasks in the AEP team (e.g. requirement engineering, lessons learned, etc.).
Experience
- Experience in the conceptual design of HVDC converter stations (≥ 5 years).
- Knowledge of HVDC systems.
- Ability to identify technical issues in a technically complex environment.
