A leading renewable energy joint venture is seeking a Senior Investment Associate to join our Finance Team in Tokyo.
Key Responsibilities

Financial Modelling: Build, update, and maintain complex financial and project models to assess business cases and optimize bidding strategies for state-level offshore wind auctions.

Strategic Analysis: Perform competitor, sensitivity, and risk analyses to maximize commercial returns and ensure project bankability.

Stakeholder Reporting: Prepare clear presentations and investment recommendations for the SteerCo Board, shareholders, and corporate finance teams in Europe.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Project Development, Engineering, and Procurement teams to optimize value drivers and manage financial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills & Experience:
- Native Japanese or candidates living in Japan only – Professional fluency in both Japanese and English is required
- Strong financial modelling experience and financial investment appraisal techniques
- Experience: Strong background in corporate finance, project finance, or investment banking, specifically within the infrastructure, energy, or utilities sectors.
