Taylor Hopkinson is seeking several PMs with different levels of experience (Sr. PMs, PMs and APMs) for a self-performing EPC and power infrastructure platform delivering utility-scale solar generation, BESS, and high-voltage substation, switchyard, and transmission projects, having built over 9 GW of generating capacity across 12 states.
The Senior Project Manager to lead full-lifecycle execution of their most complex and strategically significant utility-scale solar EPC projects. Operating with a high degree of independence and judgment, the SPM ensures safe, timely, and financially disciplined project delivery, while also playing a key role in developing future project leaders and reinforcing the organization’s project delivery culture. This role suits an experienced, forward-thinking leader who can navigate complex technical, commercial, and contractual challenges while strengthening relationships with clients and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead full-lifecycle execution of large, complex EPC projects from NTP through final acceptance
- Oversee multiple concurrent project phases, ensuring alignment with design standards, construction best practices, and commercial requirements
- Provide strategic decision-making support to field teams, proactively resolving issues to maintain momentum
- Support Preconstruction through estimating, constructability reviews, and procurement strategy
- Model strong safety behavior and hold field teams to company safety standards without exception
- Drive continuous improvement and a transparent, corrective-action culture around safety and quality
- Manage project budgets at an advanced level – forecasting, cost trending, and margin protection
- Oversee contract administration, claims, risk exposures, and change management
- Deliver executive-level reporting on financial performance and variance drivers
- Lead scheduling strategy, monitoring, and recovery planning for complex, multi-phase projects
- Analyze critical path and productivity trends, collaborating closely with Scheduling and Construction team
- Serve as the primary strategic interface with clients, owner engineers, and lenders
- Anticipate client needs and lead difficult conversations with professionalism and transparency
- Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, APMs, PEs, and Field Engineers
- Provide coaching, feedback, and development planning to build a strong succession pipeline
- Identify and manage high-impact risks across technical, commercial, schedule, and safety domains
- Lead risk reviews with senior leadership and integrate lessons learned into future planning
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated leadership of large-scale EPC construction projects, preferably utility-scale solar or renewable energy
- Advanced knowledge of EPC execution, procurement strategy, and construction sequencing
- Strong financial reporting, cost control, and commercial management skills
- Excellent communication skills with strong client-facing presence
- Proven ability to mentor and develop project teams
- Proficiency in P6, MS Project, and financial systems
- 8-10+ years of project management experience, including 3+ years leading complex EPC projects
