Taylor Hopkinson have partnered with a leading renewable energy developer and owner with a growing onshore wind portfolio across Southeast Asia. The company is delivering utility-scale wind projects in the Philippines and is seeking experienced site-based professionals to support safe, high-quality construction and delivery.


Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced WTG Construction Manager to oversee wind turbine generator construction activities on a utility-scale onshore wind project in the Philippines.

This is a site-based role responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of the WTG construction package, ensuring delivery in line with schedule, budget, quality, and HSE requirements. The role provides technical leadership across turbine installation activities and supports a smooth handover to commissioning.

This position is best suited to a locally based professional with strong onshore wind site construction experience.


Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Control
* Develop and manage schedules, budgets, and resource plans for the WTG construction package.
* Coordinate interfaces between the WTG package and other project workstreams to ensure alignment.

Technical Leadership & Execution
* Provide technical leadership during execution and define interfaces with civil, electrical, and balance-of-plant packages.
* Lead and supervise WTG installation activities, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and QA/QC requirements.
* Manage WTG construction documentation and ensure structured handover to the commissioning team.
* Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks and construction issues to minimize impacts on cost and schedule.
* Support the resolution of technical challenges to maintain efficient project delivery.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
* Lead site and package-level meetings, providing clear progress updates and decision-making support.
* Work closely with commercial and contract management teams to review variation orders and claims.

Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)
* Ensure all WTG construction activities comply with local legislation, project HSE plans, and company safety standards.

Continuous Improvement
* Capture and share lessons learned and best practices across the project and wider organization.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of WTG construction and delivery processes.


Requirements:

Education
* Licensed Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineer (Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred).

Experience
* 10+ years of experience in the wind energy sector, with a strong focus on WTG construction on onshore wind projects.
* Proven experience managing site-based WTG installation, supply, and commissioning activities.
* Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and contractors on utility-scale wind projects.
* Strong understanding of wind turbine supply chain dynamics and construction sequencing.
* Sound knowledge of construction HSE regulations and best practices.

* Must be locally based in the Philippines or willing to relocate to site for the duration of the project.
