We are looking for an Offshore Wind Contracts & Commercial Manager to support the continued development of our expanding offshore wind portfolio in Korea. This role will lead the contracting area across the full offshore wind farm project scope within the company.

This is a critical role within the Offshore Business focused on the delivery of large-scale offshore wind projects in Korea working with Partners and Contractors ensuring that the company position is suitably protected in any agreements.
Working closely with the supply chain and maintaining high level relationships with the major suppliers and contractors. The purpose being to ensure that the company maintains very effective and value adding relationships with the suppliers which will enhance our ability to deliver against our business strategy.

Responsibilities
* Lead the preparation, negotiation, and completion of key business contracts, from the following areas: wind turbine, foundations, offshore construction, installation and logistics, other offshore wind supply contracts etc.
* Assist in the coordination of legal support as well as other corporate functions like insurance and procurement for the project.
* Implement the necessary processes and procedures required for contracting and development of the offshore windfarm, in compliance with standard processes, procedures and risk and governance policies.
* Monitoring contractor performance in the project, to ensure quality, H&S and cost targets are met and ensuring the project is implemented in a manner consistent with the contract terms and with sound commercial and risk management principles.
* Responsible to define and lead contract strategy in the management of claims (Employer and Contractor) and potential disputes and arbitration processes.
* Anticipate contractual and commercial risks, opportunities and threats to the project and implement control measures or actions.

Skills & Requirements
* Knowledge and experience in the management of large, complex and multidisciplinary constructions contracts in all phases from contract negotiation, execution of works and contract completion.
* Technical knowledge of equipment, construction, materials, services, standards and regulations related to offshore wind technology.
* Knowledge of most relevant contract terms in offshore projects, and capacity to negotiate and collaborate with principal supplier's managers.
* Knowledge of most relevant contract standards in the industry (FIDIC, NEC, LOGIC, BIMCO).
* Capacity to make analysis and take decisions of technical and contractual nature during projects execution.
* Experience in contract management of medium sized contracts.

Competencies:
* Degree and professional qualification in relevant Engineering discipline or Legal qualification.
* Strong working experience in the offshore wind sector (5+ years ideal).
* Languages: English, Korean preferred but not essential
* IT literate with the ability to operate MS Office systems
