Project Engineer USA

Job title: Project Engineer (for North America Region)
Location: United States, fully remote.

About the role:

• Jointly manage projects (Utility scale and Commercial scale) with Project Manager.4
• Plan and execute all engineering activities required for BESS projects.
• Resolve technical and other contractual matters.
• Create and maintain schedule templates for the various execution phases of a project.
• Participate in contract negotiation phase and provide key inputs.
• Lead and/or coordinate design reviews with Customers, EPCs, OEs, etc.
• Document and resolve non-conformities during construction phase.
• Prepare and present project status reports to internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure clear handoff from Sales, and handoff to Services groups.
• Provide feedback to the Product Development and Manufacturing groups.
• Prepare and/or approve purchasing technical specifications.
• Manage any third party engineering or service contracts

Candidate requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Master's in EE preferred
• 5-7 years' experience in power projects with AC and DC scope
• Excellent working knowledge of BESS, PCS, and EMS
• Entreprenurial mindset
• Create processes and procedures as needed to support growth in business
• Good knowledge of standards like IEEE, NEC, UL, NFPA, ANSI
• Good knowledge of grid interconnection requirements and tests
• Good knowledge of EHS and OSHA laws and regulations
• EPC experience is a plus
• Ability to work within a global framework and a matrix organization
• Excellent working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office365
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a team, build trust with stakeholders, and influence stakeholders
• Ability to work in autonomy on multiple projects and deliver on commitments
• Fluent in English is required, Chinese is considered a plus
• Expect 15-25% travel
