Project Engineering Manager

Project Engineering Manager required for a major Offshore Wind Farm developer based in Germany

Responsibilities

• Consolidate a provisional drawing list and integrate submission dates
• Manage the global time schedule of concerned engineering activities, check coherency of links between engineering activities and other project functions activities, and organize follow-up of critical activities
• Manage delivery time of technical interfaces, anticipate and mitigate delivery issues, and manage time schedule for engineering activities
• Lead and coordinate design teams, follow the engineering budget, and manage design workload plan and resource arbitration
• Participate and contribute to the project multidisciplinary design reviews, and organize and manage disciplinary design reviews
• Analyze customer technical requirements and ensure compliance to Customer requirements through Technical queries
• Ensure conformance of material with specification and documentation
• Track and manage identified or potential deviations
• Prepare or review technical specifications and supplier's documents to enable procurement of materials and plant detailed design
• Check effectiveness of design against delivery of contract requirements within project budget and look for global cost optimization in all design phase and mainly during basic design

Requirements

• A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or related fields
• 2 to 5 years of experience in project engineering management, preferably in the power system industry sector
• Experience with engineering design and project management software
• Experience in working with international and multicultural teams
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Knowledge of technical "state of the art" and applicable standards and regulations
• Managing and supervising engineering design activities in a project
• Leading and coordinating design team
• Planning, implementing, and managing engineering activities to meet project experience in managing technical risks
• Communicating with stakeholders and managing customer relationships
