The Project Developer supports the development of renewable energy projects-including solar, wind, and energy storage-from early-stage origination through to ready-to-build status. This role involves managing key development activities such as site identification, permitting, stakeholder coordination, and financial evaluation, working closely with both internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities

Identify, assess, and progress new renewable energy project opportunities in line with strategic objectives.

Lead and coordinate permitting activities, including environmental studies and grid connection applications.

Secure land rights and agreements, maintaining effective relationships with landowners and local stakeholders.

Collaborate with internal departments such as engineering, legal, and finance, as well as external advisors and consultants.

Develop and monitor project timelines, budgets, and risk assessments throughout the development phase.

Prepare investment analyses, project documentation, and materials to support internal approval processes.

Track regulatory and market developments to ensure ongoing compliance of projects.

Represent the organization in meetings with public authorities, partners, clients, and other stakeholders.
Requirements

University degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Previous experience in a similar project development role within the energy sector.

Solid understanding of renewable energy markets and utility-scale project development.

Demonstrated experience with permitting processes, grid connections, and land acquisition.

Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams with a high level of responsibility and autonomy.
