We are looking for a Commissioning Manager to join our Green Hydrogen division in Vienna and lead commissioning activities.

Role

  • Plan, lead, and coordinate commissioning and start-up activities for large-scale green hydrogen plants within EPC projects

  • Lead the commissioning team and coordinate suppliers and subcontractors on site

  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on all commissioning-related topics

  • Manage interfaces with customers and project partners during commissioning and ramp-up phases

  • Contribute to commissioning schedules, progress tracking, and status reporting

  • Plan and allocate resources in line with contractual requirements and project budgets

  • Identify deviations, document issues, and define and implement corrective actions

  • Prepare and lead commissioning meetings and participate in customer and coordination meetings

  • Ensure compliance with company standards for health, safety, environment (HSE), and execution quality

  • Support the professional development of junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing

Requirements

  • Proven successful experience in commissioning industrial process plants, preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, or power generation
  • Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a comparable technical discipline

  • Proven experience leading technical and multicultural teams

  • Strong understanding of process, electrical, and automation engineering

  • Results-oriented leadership approach with strong decision-making skills

  • Interest in new technologies and innovative industrial sectors

  • Excellent communication, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving abilities

  • Resilient, adaptable, and willing to travel extensively (80%+)

  • Happy to work hybrid in Vienna office.
  • Fluent in German and English
