Project Development Manager – Renewable Energy (Solar, Wind & BESS)

An international renewable energy developer is looking for a Project Development Manager to support the development of utility-scale solar, wind, and battery energy storage projects in the Philippines.

This role will be responsible for leading project development from early-stage screening through permitting, financing support, and handover to construction, working closely with internal teams, consultants, government agencies, and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead project screening and feasibility analysis, including resource assessment, land suitability, grid access, and preliminary environmental review
* Manage end-to-end project development activities and coordinate internal and external stakeholders to maintain development timelines
* Lead land acquisition, lease negotiations, and right-of-way agreements, while maintaining relationships with landowners and local communities
* Manage permitting processes, environmental assessments (EIA/IEE), and grid connection approvals
* Prepare feasibility studies, technical proposals, financial models, and investment documentation
* Support project financing activities and joint venture discussions
* Manage external advisors and consultants including engineering, environmental, geotechnical, and legal specialists
* Maintain relationships with government authorities, utilities, financiers, and industry partners
* Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, budgets, risks, and development strategy

Requirements

* Minimum 3 years of renewable energy project development experience
* At least 3 years of project development experience in the Philippines
* Experience supporting utility-scale projects (30MW+ solar or 50MW+ wind preferred)
* Familiarity with Philippine energy regulations, permitting frameworks, and grid connection procedures
* Strong understanding of project financial modeling, LCOE, and investment analysis
* Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills
* Fluent English (written and spoken)
* Willingness to travel to project sites across the Philippines

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience developing solar, wind, or energy storage projects
* Project Management certification (PMP) or similar professional qualification
* Experience working with international renewable energy developers or investors
