We were retained by a leading global energy company immediately after its entry into the Canadian renewables market to deliver its first in-country development team. As well as our expert search and selection capability, we were selected specifically based on our ability to identify the appropriate candidate profile to work within what was essentially a start-up branch of a company with no prior track record in-country and limited local back-office support.

A crucial component for our client was our capability to provide accurate, real-time data and advice on local salary levels and benefits requirements to meet market expectations and secure the best talent.

Tapping into our strong brand presence in Mexico, and coupled with our team’s multi-lingual capabilities, we conducted a robust and timely process which delivered the vital Development Director and Senior Development Associate positions.

Having developed a successful track record with several start-up businesses within a global investment platform, we were retained by a new business within its portfolio to build out its US development team focused on floating solar.

This project was particularly challenging given it was a new and relatively niche technology, combined with a start-up business entering a new market with no real brand presence in US. However, we were able to support the scale up of the business, attracting a top-notch Development Director and multiple Development Managers across their active States.

As a trusted partner to a Spanish developer for several years, we played a key role in their expansion into the US market. We built its entire US development team from scratch, starting with the Country Manager and Development Director followed by local Development Managers and Directors across its active states and territories.

We carried out an extensive market mapping exercise of development talent across the US to reliably advise our client where to focus to find the best talent. Our client has gone on to become an IPP, now listed on the Spanish stock exchange.
