Taylor Hopkinson is recruiting for Technical Manager to join a leading renewable energy company that develops, constructs and operates renewable assets in Europe, currently expanding their business also in Romania.
The role is based in Bucharest, with the possibility of having some remote working.
Role
- Collaborate with the local development team during the permitting process, preparing and supervising technical documentation from the early stages until financial close
- Lead the technical assessment during the acquisition of energy projects, including the full due diligence process
- Lead the design of the technical specifications and RfPs during the pre-construction phase and later throughout construction
- Support projects after RTB and during preparation for construction: review engineering designs, assess RFPs, identify contractors and negotiate contractual conditions
- Manage procurement during the tendering process, oversee cost control, and improve procedures to ensure projects remain within budget
- Interact with local authorities, supporting the grid connection process and providing the required technical documentation
- Support and visit construction sites when necessary
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in energy or electrical engineering
- Previous experience leading the engineering aspects of solar PV project development
- Knowledge of the Romanian renewable energy market, including local authorities and permitting procedures
- Fluent in Romanian and English
- Availability to travel when needed
