Solar Module Sales Director

Taylor Hopkinson is seeking a Solar Module Sales Director for a leading global manufacturer of high-performance photovoltaic modules that serves utility-scale, C&I, and residential markets. The company is FEOC-compliant and operates a manufacturing facility in the US

The ideal candidate brings strong industry relationships, deep technical understanding of PV modules, and a proven track record of driving revenue across North America.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the North America sales strategy to achieve revenue, margin, and market-share targets.

  • Drive new business development across utility-scale developers, IPPs and EPCs.

  • Manage the full sales cycle including prospecting, qualifying, presenting, negotiating, and closing multi-MW module supply agreements.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, industry partners, and strategic accounts.

  • Collaborate with product, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure competitive pricing, accurate forecasting, and optimized delivery schedules.

  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer meetings to increase brand visibility and market presence.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a growing sales team to support regional expansion.

  • Monitor market trends, policy changes, competitor activity, and customer requirements to inform leadership and adjust strategy.

  • Prepare accurate sales reports, pipeline updates, and revenue forecasts for senior management.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of sales experience in the solar industry, with a strong focus on PV modules selling to utility scale customers.

  • Proven success selling to utility-scale developers, EPCs, and IPPs.

  • Deep understanding of module technologies, pricing structures, supply chain dynamics, and industry regulations.

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and customer-relationship skills.

  • Experience managing long sales cycles and high-value contracts.

  • Existing customer network in North America.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
