Technical Quality Engineer needed for a Major Offshore Wind Developer in the United Kingdom.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and ensure quality control strategies in line with the Project Management Plan and quality plans.
- Support and advise project teams (design and fabrication) on quality management systems and implementation.
- Guide and monitor contractors and sub-suppliers on compliance with the client’s quality requirements.
- Ensure delivery and review of pre-fabrication and as-built documentation.
- Coordinate and communicate quality initiatives across internal teams and contractors.
- Oversee contractor non-conformance reports (NCRs) and technical query (TQ) management.
Requirements:
- Background in fabrication of steel components (ideally offshore wind / heavy industry).
- Relevant quality management training (ISO 9000, APQP, etc.).
- Strong experience in quality assurance/control and project processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Team player with LEAN mindset and international collaboration experience.
- Fluent English (spoken & written).
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Full driving licence; must live within 1 hour of Middlesbrough site.
