Civil Engineer/Assistant Manager – Onshore Taiwan

We're currently recruiting for our client, the Global Renewable Energy Developer, and IPP that has a comprehensive portfolio across Solar Energy, Utility-Scale Battery-based Energy Storage Systems, Onshore Wind, and Offshore Wind in the APAC region. Backed by an American multinational infrastructure investment fund.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and passionate Civil Engineer in Taiwan, to take charge of Civil/Mechanical design configurations, package reviews, and the Management of contractors, designers, consultants, and 3rd parties. i.e. Solar Energy, Onshore Wind, and Energy Storage. This role will play a key role in ensuring the satisfaction of the design packages, structural/foundation load calculations, civil/earthworks, and all compliance with local codes/regulations.

*This is a local hire junior-mid level engineer position that requires Civil/Mechanical/Structure Engineering background and CAD expertise. Taiwanese is preferred, but foreign nationals who is currently in Taiwan and fluent in Mandarin Chinese in writing, reading and speaking are also welcome.*

Key Responsibilities:

• Civil/Mechanical design configurations, packages review.
• Management of contractors, designer, consultants, and 3rd parties.
• To ensure the satisfaction of the design packages, structural / foundation load calculations, civil / earth works, and all complied with local codes / regulations.
• Risk assessment, resource, traffic, and acceleration planning.
• Evaluation for designers, suppliers, and contractors for different projects.
• Assessing field variations and value engineering for optimization and best practice of project executions.
• Supporting to identify, clarify, and resolve issues during project executions.

Education:

• Bachelor degree in civil, mechanical, structure or related technical disciplines.
• PE license as a plus

Experience:

• 3 years or more working experience for Engineering Design, Review, and Construction.

Skills:

• Qualified with civil/structural construction knowledge, including material test and civil survey data review, etc.
• Track records with engineering works.
• Civil, structural or building construction experience, with expertise in design engineering software and code compliance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese, in writing, reading, and speaking is a must, English proficiency is also preferred.
• Strong experience in AutoCAD, MS Windows/Office, etc.
