Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with legal, procurement, project management, operations, and engineering teams to maintain existing contracts and negotiate new contracts for Offshore Wind Farms or internal services related to them.
  • Define contract terms and conditions while ensuring that the technical scope is clearly incorporated to mitigate risks and achieve cost-efficiency.
  • Assist commercial teams in optimizing contracts, managing risks, controlling costs, and streamlining processes.
  • Take the lead in the commercial execution of contracts, which includes approving payments, allocating and reporting costs, and providing support to Commercial Managers during budget planning.
  • Develop, negotiate, and execute contract variations and amendments, including defining related scope and conditions and negotiating costs.
  • Manage claims, encompassing defect notification processes, claims preparation, and coordination with the legal department.
  • Establish and maintain an overview of contracts and essential commercial contractual parameters.
  • Identify and proactively address risks and opportunities arising from contracts within the risk and opportunity management process.
  • Maintain effective communication with the Asset Managers of the respective Offshore Wind Assets.
  • Gather and disseminate lessons learned throughout the company.


Requirements

  • Possess a relevant technical, legal or commercial education.
  • Demonstrate strong negotiation and management skills.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in contract and claim management, preferably within the offshore wind industry or similar projects.
  • Fluent in both German and English, with the ability to communicate professionally in both verbal and written forms.
  • Comfortable with identifying and addressing problems as they arise and seeking assistance when necessary.
  • Ability to proactively work independently or remotely.
  • Exhibit strong teamwork and communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • You are methodical, organised, and skilled at task prioritisation and documentation.
  • You excel in communication, influencing stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
  • Additionally, you proactively solve complex problems, and your agility allows you to navigate dynamic environments while adhering to processes and adapting to change.
