TH named one of Maya’s 100 Most Thriving Places to Work in the UK

We’ve been selected in the 2026 Maya Culture 100 Awards – chosen from over 4,200 UK companies based on independent judging and employee sentiment data, in partnership with Nielsen.

We’re proud to be named one of the UK’s 100 Most Thriving Places to Work in the 2026 Culture 100 Awards, run by global culture analytics platform Maya in partnership with Nielsen.

The award, which received applications from over 4,200 UK companies, bases its selection on independent employee sentiment data rather than company submissions alone. Over 20,000 employees were surveyed, with responses analysed for open-ended sentiment and reviewed by an independent panel of people and talent leaders. Finalists were assessed on their actual people initiatives, rather than their stated intentions, before a final selection process that was filmed and independently audited.

Recruiting only for Good Energy projects, doing it with Good Energy

At TH, we’ve worked exclusively in the renewables industry since 2009, placing specialists across offshore wind, onshore wind, solar, BESS, green hydrogen, EV infrastructure and bioenergy in markets across Europe, Asia Pacific, the Americas and beyond.

That single-sector focus shapes how we run the business. Consultants are expected to understand the markets they work in well enough to give real advice – on hiring strategy, candidate expectations, market conditions – not just fill roles. It also means the people who join and thrive at TH tend to share a genuine interest in the energy transition, which we see as central to how we retain staff in a sector where specialist knowledge takes years to build.

What Good Energy looks like in practice

Our people programmes include THrive, our internal wellbeing initiative, and a mental wellbeing platform giving our people access to professional therapists and confidential support tools. An e-learning suite of over 1,000 courses sits alongside sponsored education, structured mentoring and progression pathways into the wider Brunel network, the global staffing leader we’ve been part of since 2021.

Employee sentiment is tracked through NPS feedback and engagement surveys, reviewed at Director level with structured follow up in place. Last year, TH staff used 30 volunteering days supporting causes ranging from child food poverty initiatives to conservation projects in the Scottish Highlands.

Alongside our Good Energy Recruitment brand platform launched earlier this year, we’re currently rolling out our Good Energy Manifesto, a call to action for our people that sets out the behavioural standards expected of everyone at TH, covering how staff interact with each other as well as with clients and candidates.

This recognition means a lot to us, because it’s all about celebrating the culture that we’ve built at TH. We’ve invested significantly in building an environment where everyone feels energised by their work – through our THrive wellbeing programme, our mental wellbeing platform, our development pathways, and the human connections that make a team feel like more than a workplace. But none of that matters unless people actually feel it. The fact that our team’s own responses contributed to this award tells us we’re on the right track.

High performance and culture as one

TH operates in a competitive market with ambitious commercial targets. We recognise that high performance is driven by a positive working culture, and that the specialist knowledge required to compete in renewables recruitment is best built and retained in an environment where people want to stay.

The people who progress at TH tend to be commercially driven and sector-curious in equal measure: open and direct with clients and candidates, focused on building long-term relationships rather than quick wins, and willing, ready, and brave enough to give advice that goes beyond the immediate brief.

Being named one of the UK’s most thriving places to work is something I’m genuinely proud of. We work in an industry that is tackling one of the biggest challenges facing the planet, and I believe that the people doing that work deserve to feel valued, supported and energised every single day. This award is a reflection of what our team has built together, and a reminder of why we keep pushing to do it better.

What’s next?

Over the coming months, we’ll be partnering with Maya to go deeper through written profiles and video interviews exploring what life at TH actually looks like, the people behind our culture, and what Good Energy means to those who live it every day.

In parallel, we’re also compiling the first Good Energy Index, our first annual benchmark measuring how renewables professionals feel about their work, wellbeing and careers. The first edition is currently collecting responses, with the full report due later in 2026.
