South Korea’s leading renewables recruitment and global mobility experts
Adding to our presence in East Asia’s growing offshore wind sector, our dedicated in-country experts in the South Korean capital deliver market-leading permanent and contract recruitment solutions across the region.
With South Korea setting ambitious renewable energy targets, including gigawatt-scale offshore wind projects and a push for green hydrogen innovation, the demand for specialist talent has never been greater. Our team is at the heart of this transition—partnering with developers, investors, and EPCs to build the workforce that will power the future.
From sourcing highly skilled offshore wind engineers and project managers to supporting companies with strategic workforce planning, we provide tailored recruitment solutions that help businesses grow in a rapidly evolving market.
Alongside our colleagues at Brunel, Taylor Hopkinson has a team of ten based across Korea in Seoul, Busan and Geoje, focused exclusively on floating and fixed-bottom offshore wind and onshore renewables markets. Our local team handles all immigration and visa coordination, manages in-country insurance, and acts as focal point for contractor care and any change in regulation. All of which means we can help navigate the process of getting a visa, obtaining your residence card, finding accommodation and settling in.
With a deep understanding of local market dynamics and access to a global talent network, our Seoul office plays a vital role in accelerating South Korea’s clean energy ambitions – connecting the renewables specialists to pioneering projects that are driving the energy transition.
Inspiring future green energy leaders with OffshoreWind4Kids
In 2023, we partnered with OffshoreWind4Kids and the British Embassy in Seoul to teach young people about renewables in a fun and engaging way. Young people who attended were given the opportunity to get hands-on with small-scale wind turbines and learn the basics of wind energy.
“The team had a great time helping OffshoreWind4Kids hold its event in Seoul with the support of the British Embassy and the Department for Business and Trade,” says Josh Whitaker, our Head of Korea. “It was a brilliant opportunity to deliver the event for children in Seoul, helping to educate them about the fundamentals of wind energy and inspiring a new generation to consider working in the industry.
“We look forward to delivering more of these events in Korea in the near future!”
