An opportunity for an experienced, technically astute solar business development management to join a leading global renewable energy company.

Focused on the sale of PV solar repowering/revamping services, this individual will report into the Managing Director, and will be a key member of the team responsible for developing the company's offering to leading clients within the industry.

This position can be worked on a hybrid model, splitting time between home, office, and client visits.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic business development and market positioning activities of PV Revamping/Repowering services
  • Identify new application fields and markets for existing offerings
  • Facilitate in driving transfer of knowledge/best practices learned around PV Revamping/Repowering across the company
  • Work effectively with wider group and business functions, including marketing and procurement
  • Collaborate with internal technical and purchasing teams to facilitate commercial and technical optimization, as well as further development of offerings across this market
  • Support KAM and other local teams to implement projects
  • lead commercial aspects of repowering projects, including the creation of quotes, tender management, and ongoing client dialogue
  • Develop project programmes, monitor progress, and report to clients and managers

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline
  • Proven experience in the development and realisation of PV systems and services
  • Excellent knowledge of the PV industry and strong technical understanding
  • Background in EPC/project development is beneficial
  • Strong understanding of commercial, contractual, and legislative aspects
  • Flexible, friendly, and determined personality with the ability to influence key stakeholders to ensure favourable outcomes
  • Good negotiation skills, intercultural competence, and excellent communicator
  • Business fluent in English; additional languages a plus
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Good understanding of site HSE requirements
  • Strong knowledge of PV installation and related components, including central inverters and HV
  • Full clean driving license
  • Right to work in UK
