Project Development Manager, EV Infrastructure
Our client is an Energy business who operate and maintain energy infrastructure for commercial, industrial and residential customers. They are actively partaking an exciting journey to deliver at scale, EV Fleet Charging infrastructure across the UK and Ireland.
We are looking to secure a project development manager, with direct experience of developing ev charging projects in the UK.
You'll be responsible for shaping propositions and to help secure the lease or possibly purchase of land to build EV Hubs upon with public and private sector organisations across the UK.
You will also be responsible for producing concept or outline Hub layout designs for such land parcels. The role will involve bringing together areas of different expertise and working with internal stakeholders, experts, and external partners to ensure the proposition is developed in line with our customers' needs and our strategy.
The role will develop a wide and close network of client and other stakeholder relationships to ensure awareness and influence on market and to continuously adapt propositions to suit both.
You'll be the main client interface through the proposition/bid phase leading contract negotiations to contract close and procurement. You'll take responsibility in manage supporting teams to ensure that propositions/bids are delivered on time and positions taken during negotiation are signed off by the business.

You'll have a thorough understanding of how EV platforms are built and operate combined with knowledge of the key EV suppliers and potential partners in the market and a range of commercial structures as they apply to distributed energy.
We are looking for a highly connected individual who can build and manage diverse relationships, develop enduring relationships with key stakeholders and partners with the ability to possibly create JV and consortia structures that further enhance the EV Team budget and 5 year strategy.
Ideally the right candidate will have prior Fleet relationships, understand the Fleet market, grow market share and fully understand fleet operator charging profiles. They will use their experience to target utilisation through the network of EV Hubs we are developing and working closely with the clients to prepare innovative solutions that ensure the fleet driver and operators have the peace of mind that transitioning to EV is achievable with a blend of depot and opportunity-based charging.
Prior experience and involvement in leading, managing and delivering EV projects and teams across a range of disciplines and demonstrable experience in bringing together and managing a large and potentially complex proposition. Fleet Sector knowledge and relationships will be advantageous along with a solid electrical distribution infrastructure understanding around the DNO, ICP, IDNO and Private Wire platforms.
Ideally you will have experience of building and scoping EV Charge Points and associated infrastructure with resource planning knowledge across a complex project to fully understand potential cost of project. Therefore, commercial understanding and opportunity (and risk) associated combined with the ability to interpret, analyse and disseminate complex, sensitive information is key to this position.
Demonstrating the ability and experience in negotiation and closing off commercial agreements is also key to role. Understanding the importance and nuances of NDA's/Confidentiality, Exclusivity, Option, Lease and Installation Contracts is essential.
