Role and responsibility:
- A pivotal role in leading the delivery of environmental assessment for critical infrastructure projects including offshore wind in Taiwan;
- Authoring and quality assurance of technical reports with a focus on the environment;
- A critical linkage for the company's global network of environmental consultants;
- Stakeholder engagement and client liaison;
- Key account management and the marketing of the business to existing and potential clients.
Requirements:
- A passion for environmental issues;
- Educated to degree preferable Masters level in a relevant technical subject which should have an environmental foundation;
- Demonstrable team leadership and positions of responsibility;
- Native fluency in Chinese, and be able to communicate in written and spoken English;
- At least ten years of professional experience in environmental consultancy and a background in a related technical discipline;
- An understanding and experience of the Taiwanese environmental consenting system, policy, legislation, Environmental Impact Assessment, monitoring requirements of the Environmental Protection Authority and environmental issues;
- Practical knowledge of the renewable energy industry sectors in Taiwan and the wider region;
- Experience of delivering assessments under the Taiwanese EIA law including attendance and preparation of the panel review process;
- Demonstrable project delivery experience;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project and Pdf software;
- Excellent written and oral communication, organisational and time management skills; and
- Ability to work independently and part of a team as/when required.
