Operations Manager – Onshore Wind

Opportunity for an experienced wind energy professional to take on the role of Operations Manager, with a focus on 3rd party asset management.

The Operations Manager will join a global renewable energy firm, with responsibility for several hundred MWs of assets throughout the UK.

The position can be based either in Edinburgh or Glasgow, with a hybrid home/office working pattern.

Responsibilities:

• Managing a portfolio of wind farms and ensuring successful delivery of all related services
• Ensure alignment between internal teams of site and office based asset management professionals
• Reporting accurately to the Head of Asset Management on set KPIs and additional metrics
• Point of contact to clients for answering questions on project issues, challenges, and queries
• Managing a team of asset managers to meet contractual deadlines agreed with clients
• Participate in the process of integrating additional projects into the operational portfolio
• Ensure all works are performed with the intention of improving asset safety and performance
• Participate in regular HSE and technical audits of wind assets and operations on site

Requirements:

• Degree/equivalent professional certifications in engineering or related discipline
• Knowledge of wind turbine technology and operations
• Strong line management skills and the ability to work with varied stakeholders
• Excellent communications skills
• Ability to influence and negotiate at various levels
• Knowledge of SCADA systems and technical data analysis
• Valid UK driving license
• Right to live and work in the UK
